This Privacy Policy explains how Convertz collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website, dashboard, API, and document conversion services.
1. Information we collect
We may collect:
- Account information such as your name, email address, and login details.
- Billing information required to process payments and subscriptions.
- Uploaded files and conversion metadata needed to provide the service.
- Technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, and usage logs.
2. How we use information
- To provide conversion, API, and account functionality.
- To process payments, subscriptions, and credit usage.
- To improve service performance, reliability, and security.
- To communicate service updates, support responses, and important notices.
3. File handling
Uploaded files are processed temporarily to complete requested conversions. Source files are kept in private service storage only while a conversion is active and are deleted after completion or final failure. Source files from stalled conversions are deleted approximately one hour after upload. Converted output files are deleted approximately one hour after the conversion completes.
For selected paid document-to-PDF conversions, a technical failure of our primary conversion service may cause the file to be sent to CloudConvert as a backup processor. This fallback is used only to complete the conversion and is subject to CloudConvert's privacy and security terms.
4. Sharing of information
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with service providers and infrastructure partners where necessary to operate the platform, process payments, secure the service, or comply with legal obligations.
5. Data retention
Uploaded and converted files are temporary. Completed outputs remain downloadable for one hour. Account, billing, credit, conversion-history, and security records may be retained longer where reasonably necessary for service delivery, legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and operational needs.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user information. However, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights related to access, correction, deletion, or restriction of your personal data. You may contact us to make such requests.
8. Third-party services
Our services may rely on third-party providers for hosting, payment processing, analytics, and infrastructure. Their handling of data is governed by their own policies.
